Sure, Raising Boys is "Easy"

Aaron Sharp | December 3, 2020

Today I was working at our dining room table* when I heard a loud thumping sound. I looked up from my work to see one boy, age 3, hitting another boy, age 9, in the head with a toy baseball bat. The older boy was wearing a helmet, but I quickly told them to stop, only to be told by the older small human that they were doing it on purpose. Apparently there was some sort of experiement going on.

But yeah, raising boys is easy.

I guess I should be happy he didn’t flip the bat.

*For the last nine months this table has functioned as the home office for two adults, the primary school location for 3 small humans, and the general hub of our home life. Calling it a “dining room table” doesn’t really seem to cover everything.
